Kyoto International Manga and Anime Fair to return for 2025

Kyoto International Manga and Anime Fair (KYOMAF) has confirmed it will return in 2025 from the 20th to the 21st September.
KYOMAF was first held in 2012 with the event aiming to spread awareness of Kansai and Kyoto based companies and creators affiliated with the manga/anime industry.
The event has made its goals to provide support with industry training and job opportunities and bring tourism to the area, while promoting Kyoto and its affiliation with the manga, anime and gaming industries.
2024 was the events largest year to date with around 70 different companies exhibiting and visitors gathering from all around the globe.
Main Visual

The main visual for this years event features Kyoto City’s public relations mascot “Kyotono Tsukasa” and Kyoto City Transportation Bureau’s subway and city bus support mascot “Uzumasa Moe”.
The illustration was created by Momona Sakura, who was the top prize winner for last years ‘Kyoto Magic Creators Contest Under 25s’.
The illustration will be used across promotional material for KYOMAF 2025 and on official merchandise for the event which will be revealed at a later date.
Exhibitors
Exhibitors will include a wide range of manga, anime and game companies, as well as content creators, voice actors, companies, universities, schools and training providers.

There will also be booths for merchandise, crafts, a character cafe where visitors can enjoy themed food and drink, and a dedicated cosplay area.

KYOMAF 2025 Ambassadors
The ambassadors for KYOMAF 2025 have been confirmed as Nobuhiko Okamoto and Manaka Iwami.

Nobuhiko Okamoto is the CEO of Raccoon Dog Co., Ltd. and a voice actor whose most notable roles include Okumura Rin in Blue Exorcist, Bakugo Katsuki in My Hero Academia, Nishinoya Yuu in Haikyu!!, Shinazugawa Genya in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and Himmel in Frieren.

Manaka Iwami is a voice actor with Raccoon Dog Co., Ltd. whose most notable roles include Honda Tohru in Fruits Basket, Mine Sayaka in YAIBA: The Legend of the True Samurai, Shiina Mahiru in The Angel Next Door, Hiiragi Yuuko in Chitose-kun is in a Ramune Bottle, and Kurokawa Akane in Oshi no Ko.

Tickets
Tickets will be available to purchase from the official website. Prices will be confirmed closer to the event.
KYOMAF now offer an overseas accommodation package that includes a ticket to the event and accommodation near the venue, allowing visitors from abroad to enjoy the event at their own pace.
