Kaiju Girl Caramelise Anime Confirms July Premiere in New Trailer

The TV anime adaptation of Spica Aoki’s science fiction manga is scheduled to premiere in July 2026.
The announcement was made during AnimeJapan 2026 on March 28, 2026, where a brand new trailer and the first key visual were unveiled to the public.

Teruyuki Omine is directing the series at animation studio LIDENFILMS, with Yuniko Ayana overseeing series composition and Mitomi Nakayama from NUT providing character designs.
The story follows Kuroe Akaishi, a high school loner voiced by Hikari Senga, who suffers from a rare condition that transforms her into a giant kaiju when her emotions are triggered by romance.
The plot centers on her relationship with the popular class idol Arata Minami, voiced by Daishi Kajita, whose presence causes her heart to race and her monstrous secret to emerge.
The supporting voice cast includes Akira Sekine as Manatsu Tomosato, Haruka Shiraishi as Raimu Kono, Kotono Mitsuishi as Rinko Akaishi, Katsuyuki Konishi as Kotaro Hibino, and Eriko Matsui as Jumbo King.
The original manga has been serialized in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Alive magazine since February 2018, with the ninth collected volume set for release on December 23, 2025.
Yen Press handles the English language publication of the series and released the eighth volume in October 2025.
The broadcast for the anime will be held on Japanese networks, including TBS and BS11, starting in July 2026.
