Initial D Announces New Official F1 Collab as Full Capsule Collection Revealed
Image by James RichardsonInitial D has revealed a new official Formula 1 collaboration with the Atlassian Williams F1 Team, introducing a 14-piece collection spanning clothing, accessories and a high-end automatic watch.
Created through watch and lifestyle brand UNDONE, the collection brings Takumi Fujiwara and his Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 together with the current Williams F1 team across designs built around Initial D’s street-racing identity.
The collaboration was first teased through artwork split between the two sides of the partnership, with Takumi appearing alongside his AE86 in the upper half before changing into Williams’ 2026 race gear and appearing beside the team’s blue and white Formula 1 car below.
Created by Shuichi Shigeno, Initial D follows Takumi as years of delivering tofu in his father’s AE86 unexpectedly turn him into one of Gunma’s most talented mountain racers.
The manga and its anime adaptations became closely associated with Japanese performance cars through battles involving the AE86, Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline GT-R, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and many other models, while also helping introduce a much wider international audience to touge racing and drifting culture.
Williams brings Formula 1 into the collaboration, with the British team having won nine Constructors’ Championships and seven Drivers’ Championships during its long history in the sport.
The team’s current lineup consists of Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz, with both drivers competing in the 2026 Formula 1 season aboard the FW48.
Initial D is the second Japanese series to receive a collection through Sector Zero, the Williams pop-culture project operated by UNDONE Lab.
The first was DAN DA DAN, whose own Williams collaboration was revealed at Anime Expo earlier this year alongside a specially liveried F1 show car.
Its key releases included the limited Turbo Box built around a Swiss-made UNDONE watch, the apparel and accessory-focused Okarun Box, and a three-piece Click Toy Set featuring Turbo Granny, Okarun and Momo.
The new Initial D range takes the Sector Zero project considerably further in terms of individual products, with all 14 releases now revealed as follows:
- Touge Crew Jacket – $100
A relaxed black and white track jacket with Williams branding across the chest, a full back graphic, full-zip front and ribbed cuffs, available in M, L and XL.
- Tofu Run Tee – $45
A white T-shirt combining the signature Initial D graphic with Takumi’s AE86 across the design, finished with a Mt. Akina woven tag and available in S through XL.
- Lights Out Tee – $45
A navy T-shirt using the Initial D graphic across its front and back alongside the same Mt. Akina woven tag, available in S through XL.
- Downhill Tee – $45
A white T-shirt featuring Takumi’s AE86 positioned low across the design to recreate the feel of a downhill run, with front and back printing and sizes from S through XL.
- Night Stage Tee – $45
A navy design showing the AE86 cutting diagonally across the artwork at speed, with front and back printing and a Mt. Akina woven tag.
- Apex Hoodie · White – $80
A heavyweight white hoodie featuring Fujiwara Tofu Shop lettering across the chest and an AE86 and Initial D graphic covering the back, available in M, L and XL.
- Apex Hoodie · Black – $80
The darker version of the heavyweight hoodie places the Initial D graphic on the chest and adds printed detailing along the sleeve, with sizes ranging from M through XL.
- Return Run Tote – $35
A woven 40cm x 37cm tote with different artwork across its two sides and reinforced carrying handles.
- Ignition Keychain – $10
A Williams-blue strap fitted with a carabiner alongside charms based on Takumi’s AE86 and the Initial D logo, with Sector Zero also marking this particular item as a Fan Zone exclusive release.
- No Spill Bottle – $30
A 500ml stainless steel bottle finished in black with wraparound collaboration artwork and a leak-proof cap.
- Night Run Towel – $25
A 100cm x 34cm towel created around the collection’s night-running theme with artwork extending across its full width.
- Helmet Pin Set – $20
A set of five enamel pins combining Initial D and Williams imagery for use on clothing, bags and lanyards.
- Touge Puzzle – $20
A 500-piece A3 jigsaw using the main Williams x Initial D key artwork and its mountain-road setting.
- Project D Automatic Watch – $699
UNDONE’s flagship release for the collaboration uses a Seiko NH72 automatic skeleton movement inside a 43.5mm black DLC titanium case, with a black ceramic bezel and a dark-gun skeleton dial embossed with a section of the Mt. Akina downhill course beneath a translucent blue film.
Matte black hands, ice-blue glowing tritium tubes, a red seconds hand and a caseback rotor engraved with Williams x Initial D branding complete the watch, with two versions of its 22mm canvas strap available.
Initial D has also received several other official collaborations in 2026, including a limited Seiko watch based on Keisuke Takahashi and his yellow Mazda RX-7 FD3S.
ANGEL CLOVER has expanded its own Initial D watch range with automatic models inspired by Takumi’s AE86 and Bunta Fujiwara’s Subaru Impreza, following earlier designs based on cars driven by Keisuke, Ryosuke, Mako and Sayuki.
Reservations for all 14 Williams x Initial D items are now open through Sector Zero, with the site allowing fans to register their intent without making a payment or committing to an order at this stage.
