Converse has officially announced a new collaboration with Sanrio’s iconic Hello Kitty, which will see the launch of a special fashion collection.
The new “CONVERSE × HELLO KITTY PLAZA Exclusive Collection” seamlessly merges a classic visual aesthetic with a casual everyday style.
The historic footwear brand originally started as a humble rubber shoe manufacturer in Malden, Massachusetts in 1908 before evolving into a major global lifestyle symbol.
The company completely revolutionized the athletic world in 1917 by introducing the famous All Star basketball shoe, which paved the way for other legendary models such as the Jack Purcell and One Star.
Guided by the modern slogan “Design Yourself,” the label continues to expand its reach across both sports and everyday fashion subcultures around the world.
The adorable character partnering for this unique collection was originally born in the suburbs of London, England under the full name Kitty White.
Known for being incredibly bright and kind, she is famously described as being five apples tall and weighing the equivalent of three apples.
The upcoming lifestyle release focuses heavily on a rich red and blue color scheme to honor the classic retro world of the character.
