Hatsune Miku’s Huge New Official Figure Is Over Half a Meter Tall

FREEing has announced a new addition to its large-format B-Style figure range, introducing a premium collectible based on Hatsune Miku V4 Chinese.
The new statue focuses on the Chinese-language version of the globally recognized virtual singer and presents her as a fully painted 55cm tall 1/3 scale figure.

Hatsune Miku V4 originates from Hatsune Miku V4X, a voice synthesis software package launched by Crypton in 2016 using Yamaha’s VOCALOID4 engine.

Compared with earlier versions of the software, V4X introduced improvements to pronunciation quality and vocal expression while also adding the GWL feature, which allowed users to apply growl and distortion effects to performances.

A dedicated Chinese edition was later developed using newly recorded voice samples provided by voice actress Saki Fujita, enabling the character to perform songs in Chinese with greater clarity, fluency, and natural-sounding delivery.

For this figure, FREEing has based the design on the official package illustration created by artist Mame no Moto for Hatsune Miku V4 Chinese.

The artwork has been translated into three-dimensional form with careful attention paid to preserving the original appearance and proportions of the illustration.

Standing approximately 55 cm tall, the large scale gives the figure an especially commanding display presence.

The sculpt captures the signature outfit in considerable detail, including the folds and contours of Miku’s outfit.

Several elements of the design, such as the pleated skirt, arm coverings, and long boots, feature glossy surface treatments accented with metallic details to create a refined visual finish.

Particular emphasis has been placed on recreating Miku’s flowing twin-tail hairstyle, with intricate texturing and dynamic movement incorporated throughout the sculpt.

Subtle gradient paint applications further enhance the hair, helping to convey depth and softness while highlighting the character’s distinctive appearance.

The statue was sculpted by Mocchan, with paintwork handled by Tsuki Yanagi and production support provided by DimensionTrace.

Pre-orders are now open via the official Good Smile Company online store and reputable hobby goods retailers such as HobbyLink Japan, with the statue carrying a suggested retail price of 88,000 yen (approx. $610 USD/ £450 GBP).
The release is currently scheduled for March 2027, and pre-orders are expected to ship at that time.
