Handcrafted Pokémon 30th Anniversary Statues Set to Cost Over $6000

The Spanish luxury porcelain art brand LLADRÓ has officially revealed an elegant new collaboration to celebrate the historic 30th anniversary of Pokémon.
The Pokémon franchise first appeared in 1996, introducing a rich universe filled with colorful and fascinating creatures.

Over the last three decades, iconic characters like the Electric-type Pikachu and the highly adaptable Normal-type Eevee have become universally recognized symbols of global pop culture.

To honor this enduring legacy, the skilled artisans at LLADRÓ have utilized their decades of expertise in Valencia, Spain, to meticulously translate these beloved companions into high-end art pieces.

The brand is renowned for its traditional techniques, employing master sculptors to carefully mold, paint, and glaze beautiful porcelain creations by hand, ensuring each sculpture is a true work of art.
Let’s take a look at the newly announced porcelain figures!
- “Pikachu”
- Price: 130,000 yen (approx. $866 USD / £684 GBP).

Measuring 25 centimeters in height, this vibrant piece features the famous character holding a small handcrafted flower.

The sculpture utilizes a glossy yellow enamel finish to keep the colors clean and vivid, complemented by a light varnish on the eyes to provide stunning depth.

- “Pikachu & Eevee”
- Price: 1,000,000 yen (approx. $6,666 USD / £5,263 GBP).

This massive sculpture measures 37 centimeters tall and is strictly limited to 288 pieces worldwide.

It showcases the two famous companions resting together on a leafy ledge, requiring over 1,000 hours of specialized work to carefully assemble the 14 individual parts for Pikachu and 11 parts for Eevee.

The surrounding flora is individually handcrafted by artists to create a harmonious blend of soft pinks, yellows, whites, and greens.

In other 30th-anniversary related news, the official Pokémon Center has announced three new ranges of merchandise.

Fans can check out the new “Pokémon Timeless Adventure” stationery line, which focuses on the Kanto region and features exclusive artwork of Pikachu and the classic starter creatures peering at a Pokédex in a laboratory.

The retro-styled “Pikachu of Beginnings” plushies perfectly replicate the vintage, chubby aesthetic of the iconic mascot from the original 1996 video games.

Those looking for a sparkling commemorative item can grab the “30th Anniversary Pika Pika! Pikachu” plushies, featuring high-quality velour treated with a delicate glitter finish and a celebratory birthday ribbon.

Finally, fans in Tokyo can also look forward to the “Pokémon Card Game TOKYO LUMINOUS NIGHT Celebrating 30 Years” event, a massive projection mapping light show set to take place at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building that will showcase dynamic representations of nostalgic classic cards.

Travelers flying around the globe can even take to the skies with ANA on three newly announced aircraft designs as part of the “Pokémon Jet” project, featuring Red, Green, and Blue themes.

Sports enthusiasts can also celebrate at various stadiums in Japan through the “Professional Baseball 12 Teams x Pokémon 30th Anniversary Special Project”, featuring exclusive apparel and special Pokémon GO raid events.

Reservations for the luxury porcelain figures are currently open at the LLADRÓ Ginza Satellite Boutique and the official LLADRÓ online shop.
