Gundam ZZ’s Space Wolf Team Inspires New A.O.Z RE-BOOT Reben-Wolf HG Gunpla Kit
Image by Charlotte DavisBandai has officially revealed a new High Grade Reben-Wolf Gunpla based on the manga and mechanical design series “Advance of Zeta Re-Boot: Gundam Inle – Black Rabbit of Dreams” (A.O.Z RE-BOOT) that sees the Mars Zeon Mobile Suit given the distinctive teal and grey colors of Gundam ZZ’s Space Wolf Team.
The “HG 1/144 Reben-Wolf (Space Wolf Team Specification) (A.O.Z RE-BOOT Ver.)” received its first public display at the 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show, recreating a variation inspired by the Neo Zeon unit’s Döven Wolves.
A.O.Z RE-BOOT expands the Universal Century around several Zeon remnants operating on Mars, introducing new machines alongside extensively reworked versions of existing Mobile Suits.
The AMX-014R Reben-Wolf was developed by Mars Zeon from technology surrounding the AMX-014 Döven Wolf, with the project intended to retain much of the original machine’s combat ability while making it easier and less expensive to produce in larger numbers.
Part of that approach involved sharing components with the Zaku III-R already adopted by Mars Zeon, alongside moving several of the Döven Wolf’s permanently integrated weapons and propulsion systems into optional equipment that could be changed depending on the mission.
Bandai first turned the Reben-Wolf into an official Gunpla in 2025 with the completely new “HG 1/144 Reben-Wolf (A.O.Z RE-BOOT Ver.),” which recreated its standard olive-drab Mars Zeon appearance.
That kit also included a Beam Machine Gun and Beam Sword Axe, with the latter introducing a telescoping mechanism that allows its handle to extend and retract without replacing parts.
Its construction was deliberately designed with additional customization in mind, allowing components from the separately sold HG Döven Wolf to be attached alongside compatible equipment from kits including the HG Sinanju and Gundam TR-6 [Woundwort] Psycho-Blade Custom.
The newly announced Space Wolf Team version uses a variation already depicted through official A.O.Z RE-BOOT setting material, applying the colors associated with the Döven Wolf to its descendant.
The Space Wolf Team itself appears during the closing stages of Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ as a Neo Zeon unit commanded by veteran pilot Rakan Dahkaran, with its members operating a squadron of the heavily armed Döven Wolf.
Their machines combine enormous conventional firepower with equipment including Incoms, detachable Beam Hands and the Mega Launcher, making the Döven Wolf one of Neo Zeon’s most heavily armed mass-production Mobile Suits.
Bandai has not yet provided a complete breakdown of the accessories and optional equipment included with the new HG 1/144 Reben-Wolf (Space Wolf Team Specification), so it remains unclear how extensively the new kit will differ from the original 2025 Reben-Wolf beyond its revised specification and coloring.
The announcement arrives during Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ’s 40th anniversary year, which has also seen Bandai return the original “HG 1/144 Döven Wolf” to production alongside a major TAMASHII NATIONS wave featuring the first-ever ROBOT SPIRITS Quin Mantha, a new METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Enhanced ZZ Gundam and an extensively updated Geymalk [Re: Coordinate].

Bandai is also releasing a separate Full Armor Parts Set for the Enhanced ZZ Gundam, allowing the new premium figure to be converted into the heavily armed Full Armor ZZ Gundam used during the latter stages of the anime.
A.O.Z RE-BOOT has remained a key part of Bandai’s Gunpla lineup as well, with another recent Premium Bandai release bringing the specialized Hi-Zack Custom back for a new production run in both Japan and the US.
The “HG 1/144 Reben-Wolf (Space Wolf Team Specification) (A.O.Z RE-BOOT Ver.)” will be released exclusively through Premium Bandai Japan for ¥5,720 (approximately $36 / £27), although Bandai has yet to announce its pre-order opening date or scheduled shipping window.
For builders in the US, the new Reben-Wolf should appear through Premium Bandai US shortly after the initial Japanese pre-order period opens.
