Gundam ZZ’s 40th Anniversary Haman Karn Apparel Collection Gets Official US Release

Bandai has confirmed that a brand-new Haman Karn themed Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ apparel collection celebrating the anime’s 40th anniversary will officially launch in the US this October.
Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ first aired in 1986 as the direct sequel to Mobile Suit Z Gundam, following Judau Ashta and the Gundam Team as they become embroiled in the escalating conflict with Neo Zeon during one of the Universal Century’s defining storylines.

Haman Karn remains one of the Gundam franchise’s most iconic antagonists, remembered for her commanding leadership, political influence, and unforgettable confrontations with both the AEUG and the Gundam Team throughout the series.

Instead of focusing on Mobile Suits, the anniversary collection celebrates Haman herself through artwork inspired by several of her most memorable appearances and the distinctive mask that has become synonymous with the character.

The Haman Karn T-Shirt, priced at $40, recreates her inspirational speech from Episode 22 with a striking full-front illustration that captures one of the series’ defining moments.

The Haman Karn Last Scene T-Shirt, also priced at $40, pays tribute to her unforgettable final appearance with artwork that longtime Gundam ZZ fans will instantly recognize.

The Haman Karn Mask T-Shirt, priced at $40, opts for a cleaner design by highlighting the instantly recognizable mask worn by the Neo Zeon leader against a black backdrop.

The Haman Karn Mask Mini Shoulder Bag, priced at $23, carries the same iconic mask emblem on a compact everyday bag designed for carrying smaller essentials while subtly showcasing its Gundam inspiration.

One item included in the original collection will unfortunately not be making its way to the US, as the Haman Karn Mask Glass which was part of the Japanese release has not been made available to order.

The emphasis on one of Gundam’s most celebrated villains makes this collection stand apart from many previous STRICT-G releases, which have traditionally focused on famous Mobile Suits rather than individual characters.

The collection also arrives as part of Gundam ZZ’s 40th anniversary celebrations, giving longtime fans another way to commemorate a series whose reputation has continued to grow among fans of the Universal Century timeline over the past four decades.
Pre-orders are now open through Premium Bandai US until August 31 at 10:59 (EDT), with orders set to ship in October 2026.
