Bandai has fully revealed an exclusive silver-colored Master Grade Gunpla kit based on Gundam SEED’s Testament Gundam, with pre-orders now open for the limited-edition release.

The new “MG 1/100 Testament Gundam [Silver Gleam Color Ver.]” recreates the experimental Mobile Suit from Gundam SEED Destiny Astray in a silver, gunmetal, and black color scheme, replacing the red armor of the original kit.

First introduced in the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny Astray side story, the Testament Gundam is an experimental ZAFT machine developed to test advanced technologies, including the Neutron Jammer Canceller and compatibility with the Earth Alliance’s Striker Pack equipment.

Its Variable Phase Shift Armor allows the Gundam to adjust the strength of its defenses by changing the electrical voltage applied to its armor, with the machine’s original appearance reflecting its distinctive armor configuration.

Bandai originally released the “MG 1/100 Testament Gundam” through Premium Bandai in 2020, recreating the Mobile Suit’s unusual equipment and extensive range of combat configurations.

The new “Silver Gleam Color Ver.” builds on that existing Master Grade design, replacing the original red exterior with multiple shades of silver and dark gray, with black mechanical sections creating contrast throughout the body and backpack.

Newly released promotional images provide a closer look at the color separation across the chest, shoulders, legs, and head, with the green sensors standing out against the much darker appearance.

The revised colors also extend to Testament Gundam’s distinctive equipment, including the large Divine Striker backpack and Trikeros Kai offensive shield system, allowing builders to recreate the original model’s various weapon configurations in the new finish.

The Trikeros Kai combines a shield with deployable claw-like sections and integrated weapon storage, with the Gundam’s handguns able to be removed and used separately.

Testament Gundam’s enormous Divine Striker can be arranged in its flight configuration or transformed into a large claw-like weapon, with movable sections that allow the completed model to recreate different action poses.

The Master Grade kit also retains its compatibility with other Striker Pack equipment, allowing builders to attach selected backpacks from compatible kits using the connection system on the Gundam’s rear.

Bandai first previewed the silver Testament Gundam alongside a matching Freedom Gundam in September, with the initial announcement confirming that both would form part of its special Double 11 shopping campaign in China.

The second release is the “MGSD Freedom Gundam [Silver Radiance Color]”, which gives Kira Yamato’s Gundam from the original Mobile Suit Gundam SEED anime a matching silver and black appearance, retaining the compact proportions and extensive weaponry of the original MGSD model.

The standard Testament Gundam was also included among the 19 exclusive kits featured in Premium Bandai US’s 2026 Fan Favorite Voting campaign, which invited collectors to vote for previous releases they would like to see return.

Pre-orders for the “MG 1/100 Testament Gundam [Silver Gleam Color Ver.]” are now open through Bandai’s official Tmall Flagship Store and Bandai Namco online shopping channels in China.

Although the new silver edition is currently being offered through Bandai’s Chinese retail channels, no corresponding Japanese or US release through platforms such as Premium Bandai US have been officially confirmed.
