Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers Returns as New Avengers: Doomsday Premium Figure Officially Revealed
Image by Charlotte DavisHot Toys has officially unveiled a new premium figure of Steve Rogers based on Chris Evans’ return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Doomsday.
The “Movie Masterpiece Avengers: Doomsday Steve Rogers” recreates the former Captain America in 1/6 scale, with four different editions available, including a Deluxe version featuring an illuminated Sentinel diorama.

Steve Rogers first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger, following his transformation from a physically frail soldier into the superhuman Captain America during World War II.

Chris Evans went on to portray Rogers throughout the Avengers movies and several other MCU productions, becoming one of the franchise’s central heroes alongside Iron Man and Thor.

His story appeared to reach its conclusion in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, when Rogers returned the Infinity Stones to their original timelines before choosing to remain in the past and live a peaceful life with Peggy Carter.

The movie ended with an elderly Steve Rogers passing his iconic shield to Sam Wilson, who subsequently took over the Captain America mantle in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Captain America: Brave New World.

Evans’ return in Avengers: Doomsday will reunite him with several other original MCU stars, including Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Robert Downey Jr., who is taking on the role of Doctor Doom.

For the new Movie Masterpiece figure, Hot Toys has developed a newly sculpted head based on Evans’ appearance in the movie, featuring individually adjustable eyes, realistic facial detailing, a beard, and swept-back brown hair.

Standing approximately 31 cm tall, the figure incorporates a specially developed muscular body with more than 30 points of articulation.

One of its more elaborate design elements is the inclusion of four interchangeable silicone arm components, including a seamless pair with hands posed for punching and holding Mjølnir.

A second pair of arms is compatible with eight interchangeable hands, allowing collectors to recreate relaxed poses, clenched fists, and different ways of holding the hammer.

Each left hand included has a sculpted wedding ring, referencing Rogers’ marriage to Peggy Carter following the events of Avengers: Endgame.
His clothing consists of a removable dark brown jacket, black T-shirt, olive-brown pants, and black shoes, with a matching belt completing the outfit.

The figure also includes Thor’s cracked Mjølnir hammer, which features battery-powered blue LED lighting, alongside a translucent lightning effect that can be attached to the weapon.

Hot Toys has confirmed four different editions, with the main differences involving their display bases and an exclusive commemorative accessory.

The standard edition includes a display stand decorated with the Avengers: Doomsday logo and Steve Rogers’ nameplate.
The Deluxe edition replaces this with a large diorama depicting the battle-damaged head and hand of a Sentinel, one of the enormous robots created to hunt mutants in the X-Men universe.

The destroyed machine is sculpted with damaged armor and mechanical detailing, with USB-powered LED lighting illuminating sections of the wreckage beneath Rogers.

Two additional Special Editions will also be available, combining either the standard or Deluxe figure with an exclusive commemorative metal ring.

This bonus ring is separate from the miniature rings sculpted onto the figure’s interchangeable hands and serves as an additional commemorative accessory.

Hot Toys has also revealed a separate Avengers: Doomsday figure of Beast, based on Kelsey Grammer’s return as the X-Men scientist, with its own Deluxe version featuring a different damaged Sentinel display.

The new Steve Rogers figure follows several other Marvel releases from Hot Toys, including a 1/6-scale figure based on Japan’s original live-action Spider-Man, which recreated Takuya Yamashiro’s costume from the 1978 television series.

Marvel has also previously collaborated with Japanese anime series, including a special My Hero Academia crossover celebrating Captain America: Brave New World, which featured Hawks alongside Sam Wilson and a promotional video narrated by Yūichi Nakamura, the Japanese voice actor for Evans’ Steve Rogers.

All four editions of the “Movie Masterpiece Avengers: Doomsday Steve Rogers” are now available to pre-order in the US through Sideshow, with the standard edition and standard Special Edition both priced at $280.
The Deluxe edition and Deluxe Special Edition, which include the illuminated Sentinel display, are priced at $375 each.

Sideshow currently estimates US shipments between July and December 2027, although the retailer warns that some orders may ship as late as March 2028.

In Japan, Hot Toys has scheduled all four editions for release during December 2027, with the standard version priced at ¥48,000 and the Deluxe version priced at ¥65,000.
The Japanese Special Editions will be available through Hot Toys’ Toy Sapiens flagship store, with the commemorative metal ring included as an exclusive bonus.
