Grow Up Show -Sunflower Circus- Debuts First Trailer and Key Visual

The original anime project GROW UP SHOW: Sunflower Circus has officially announced a broadcast start date for July 2026.

Production for the series is being handled by A-1 Pictures and Psyde Kick Studio with Aniplex overseeing the project.

Director Kenta Kamei, known for his work on Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend, will lead the creative team.

The narrative is set in mid-1950s Japan during an economic boom period where circus entertainment has become a central part of daily life.

The plot follows the struggling Sunflower Circus troupe as they aim to compete in the prestigious Circus Collection festival.

Mizuka Tsurumaki, voiced by Tomoka Noda, serves as the central protagonist and a new prodigy who joins the group for mysterious reasons.

The troupe is led by ringmaster Maria, who is voiced by the veteran actress Rie Kugimiya.

Other key cast members include Shiori Kurosaki as Oka Kawasumi, Reo Osanai as Imari Agano, and Nanako Ando as Isuzu Ikazuchi.

The sister duo of Aoi and Akane Yura will be portrayed by Tomori Kusunoki and Yuko Natsuyoshi, respectively.

Rounding out the ensemble are Yuna Kamakura as Shizuku Sakawa, Yuka Iwahashi as Svetlana, and Ai Kayano as Rin Mamiya.

Kurehito Misaki is providing the original character designs, while Takeshi Kikuchi serves as the series composer and scriptwriter.

Additional staff includes Kazutoshi Makino as character designer and chief animation director alongside assistant director Satsuki Takahashi.

The artistic direction is managed by Takumi Hashimoto with sound direction provided by Akiko Fujita.

This announcement follows the release of a new trailer and key visual on March 22, 2026, which showcases the young girls chasing their dreams.
