Gachiakuta Tops January U.S. Graphic Novel Charts

Kei Urana’s manga series Gachiakuta has reached a major milestone by securing the top position on the Circana BookScan adult graphic novel list for January 2026.
The first volume of the series led a field where Japanese manga occupied eighteen of the twenty spots including multiple entries for Jujutsu Kaisen which took the second and third positions with volume 28 and volume 1.

Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7 Steel Ball Run volume 5 followed in fourth place while Mokumokuren’s The Summer Hikaru Died volume 1 ranked fifth.

The sixth spot was held by the fourteenth volume of the Solo Leveling manhwa which features side stories with art by Disciples at REDICE Studio.
Additional rankings for January 2026 featured Demon Slayer volume 1 at seventh place and further entries for Gachiakuta with volume 2 at eighth and volume 9 at eleventh place.

The chart also included Jujutsu Kaisen volumes 2 and 26 as well as volume 0 along with the first volume of the One Piece Omnibus Edition.


Other titles appearing on the list were Phantom Busters volume 2 and the third volume of The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn’t a Guy at All.
A limited edition of Destroy All Humans They Can’t Be Regenerated volume 6 containing a Magic: The Gathering card ranked seventeenth followed by the first volume of Steel Ball Run.

Rounding out the top twenty were My Hero Academia volume 42 and the first volume of the Berserk Deluxe edition.

Circana BookScan which was formerly known as NPD BookScan collects weekly point of sale data from over sixteen thousand retail locations to cover eighty five percent of the United States trade print book market.
These rankings were publicly reported on March 16 2026 and represent piece sales across various major retailers and independent bookstores.
