Grounded 2 Early Access and Into the Abyss Update Launching August 11 on PS5
Publisher Xbox Game Studios and developer Obsidian Entertainment have officially announced that Grounded 2 will be expanding its reach to the PlayStation 5 console on August 11, 2026.
This upcoming PlayStation 5 release will coincide with the debut of the “Into the Abyss” update, which promises to bring more players into the miniature world of Brookhollow Park.
The survival sequel originally entered Early Access on July 29, 2025, for PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store as well as for Xbox Series consoles.
Since its initial launch in 2025, the title has continued to build upon the success of the original game, which saw players shrunk to the size of ants to survive in a perilous backyard.
The announcement of the PS5 release was accompanied by a new trailer highlighting the features coming to the PlayStation platform.
Players on the Sony console can expect the full Early Access experience, including all content updates released since the game first arrived on Xbox and PC in July of the previous year.
By launching on the PlayStation 5, the developers aim to grow the community and provide a cross-platform survival experience for fans of the genre.
