Good Smile Company reveals KAITO Nendoroid to receive 2.0 update

Good Smile Company, a prominent Japanese manufacturer of collectible figures, has announced the upcoming release of Nendoroid KAITO 2.0.
This update to their popular Nendoroid line was revealed during the company’s recent “NENDOROID FUNS” live stream, signaling a refresh for the established virtual singer figure.
KAITO is a male Vocaloid software voicebank created by Crypton Future Media, known for his smooth, powerful tenor voice.

Released in 2006, KAITO was one of the earliest Vocaloids to gain significant recognition and has since become a fixture in the Vocaloid community, frequently appearing alongside Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, and Kagamine Len in music, concerts, and multimedia projects.
His distinct blue scarf and coat are iconic elements of his design.
Nendoroids are a line of small, articulated figures recognized for their “chibi” or “super deformed” aesthetic, characterized by oversized heads and expressive faces.
These figures are popular among collectors due to their interchangeable parts, which allow for a wide array of poses and the recreation of various scenes.
The “2.0” designation in the Nendoroid series typically indicates an enhanced version of a previously released figure.

These updates often feature improved sculpting, better articulation, and a more extensive array of accessories, offering collectors more dynamic display options and an even closer representation of the character.
While specific details regarding accessories, pricing, and exact release dates for Nendoroid KAITO 2.0 were not fully detailed during the “NENDOROID FUNS” live stream, the announcement confirms that fans of the virtual singer can anticipate a modernized and potentially more versatile figure.
This release follows similar 2.0 updates for other Vocaloid characters, such as Kagamine Len/Rin and Megurine Luka, indicating a comprehensive refresh for Crypton Future Media’s main virtual singer lineup within the Nendoroid collection.
