GiGO launches BLEACH anime collab featuring themed taiyaki and drinks

Bleach Taiyaki GiGO 3

BLEACH themed taiyaki will go on sale this summer as part of a new collaboration with one of Japan’s top amusement chains, GiGO.

Starting Friday, June 13th, 2025, this initiative is part of BLEACH THE DEATHBERRY, a larger-scale event unfolding across the Ikebukuro area that includes exhibitions, attractions, and dining experiences.

BLEACH, a long-running series in Weekly Shonen Jump that has sold over 130 million copies worldwide, has a substantial fanbase.

Its most recent anime adaptation, BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, which covers the manga’s concluding arc, is expected to broadcast its final cour, “The Calamity” in 2026.

This latest GiGO collaboration will feature two primary offerings: unique “BLEACH-yaki” taiyaki and novelty drinks, both accompanied by exclusive acrylic charms.

BLEACH-yaki (Collaboration Taiyaki)

These special taiyaki will be sold at GiGO Taiyaki Main Store (Ikebukuro, Tokyo) and GiGO Taiyaki Osaka Dotonbori Main Store.

Each purchase includes one random original acrylic charm, which are part of a 24-design set, split into two phases:

  • First Half (June 13 – July 4, 2025): 12 designs featuring characters like Ichigo Kurosaki, Uryu Ishida, Renji Abarai, Gin Ichimaru, Momo Hinamori, Rukia Kuchiki, Nemu Kurotsuchi, Rangiku Matsumoto, Yoruichi Shihoin, Soi Fon, Orihime Inoue, and Isane Kotetsu.
  • Second Half (July 5 – July 21, 2025): 12 designs featuring characters such as Ulquiorra Cifer, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, Askin Nakk Le Vaar, Bazz-B, Bambietta Basterbine, Candice Catnipp, Giselle Gewelle, Meninas McAllon, Liltotto Lamperd, Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck, Tier Harribel, and Riruka Dokugamine.

Each “BLEACH-yaki” costs ¥600 (tax included) and comes in two flavors: Ogura An (red bean paste) and premium cream. The taiyaki themselves will feature 6 different character molds.

Please note: Both the taiyaki design and the acrylic charm are random and cannot be chosen. Items are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

This new collab is expected to be incredibly popular, so to manage crowds, “BLEACH-yaki” for June 13th, 14th, and 15th will be sold via a pre-purchase lottery through the GiGO app.

  • June 13th sales: Lottery entry from May 30th – June 11th; results on June 12th at 10:00 AM JST.
  • June 14th sales: Lottery entry from May 30th – June 12th; results on June 13 at 10:00 AM JST.
  • June 15th sales: Lottery entry from May 30th – June 13th; results on June 14 at 10:00 AM JST.

It’s expected that the lottery system will only be in place for the first few days whilst demand subsides, with fans able to purchase the collab taiyaki freely from the 16th June until the final date.

Novelty Drinks

These drinks will be sold at 15 GiGO collaboration café stand and amusement facilities nationwide (including GiGO Collab Cafe Stand Sapporo Norbesa, GiGO Ikebukuro 3rd Building, GiGO Akihabara 2nd Building and more).

Each drink purchase also includes one random original acrylic charm from the same 24-design set as the taiyaki.

The drinks costs ¥500 (tax included). Like the taiyaki, charms are random and available while supplies last.

To commemorate the collaboration, a repost campaign will be held on social media from Friday, May 30th to Sunday, June 15th, 2025.
