Genshin Impact Reveals New Permanent Official Cafe Set to Open in 2027
Genshin Impact is officially getting a new permanent themed cafe, with HoYoverse confirming that “Genshin CAFE” will open in 2027.
The new location will become the first permanent official Genshin Impact cafe in Japan, offering fans a dedicated space based entirely around HoYoverse’s hugely popular open-world RPG.
Genshin Impact originally launched in September 2020 and sends players across the fantasy world of Teyvat as the Traveler searches for their missing sibling, meeting an increasingly large cast of playable characters across its different nations.
The game celebrates its sixth anniversary today, with the cafe announcement forming part of a wider series of activities marking the milestone.
Japan has already hosted numerous temporary Genshin Impact food collaborations, including a recent Baskin-Robbins campaign starring Flins and Linnea that combined themed ice cream with exclusive merchandise and in-game rewards.
Earlier this year, Genshin Impact also returned to KFC Japan for its second collaboration with the fast-food chain, this time putting Alhaitham and Kaveh at the center of special meal packaging, digital rewards and limited merchandise.
The permanent cafe is a considerably longer-term addition for fans based in, or visiting, Japan, following existing official Genshin Impact cafes that have opened in Seoul, Paris and Moscow.
Tokyo will become the fourth city to receive one of the dedicated venues and the first in Japan, although HoYoverse has yet to reveal exactly where in the city it will be located.
Details of the cafe’s menu, merchandise and interior have also yet to be announced, with the newly launched official “Genshin CAFE” website currently only confirming its planned 2027 opening.
The announcement coincides with a nationwide sixth anniversary advertising campaign under the theme, “And so, the journey continues”, with displays appearing at stations and outdoor locations across Japan.
Further details about “Genshin CAFE”, including its exact opening date, Tokyo location, menu, and merchandise, will be revealed at a later date.
