Gemini X: A Mega Man-Inspired Metroidvania Announced for PC

Toronto-based developer Komi Games announced Gemini X on June 6, 2026, a new 2.5D Metroidvania title designed to capture the essence of classic 32-bit run-and-gun platformers.
The upcoming game is currently slated for a release on PC via the Steam platform, though a specific launch date has not yet been confirmed by the studio.
Set within the confines of a hijacked human space colony known as ZCN 02, the narrative follows Rook, a security officer for CASTLE who must reclaim the station after an ambush by a rogue robotic faction called the Heretechs.
Players are encouraged to explore the station at their own pace, offering the freedom to challenge bosses in any order and influence the narrative through specific choices and discoveries.
The experience is defined by a stylized art direction and a high-energy soundtrack that combines synth and hard rock elements to emulate the aesthetic of the original PlayStation era.
Gameplay mechanics focus on fluid movement, including dashing and jumping, alongside a progression system where players acquire unique powers from defeated Heretechs to unlock new areas of the colony.
Combat encounters feature a unique mechanic where players can discover secret methods to force bosses into an all-out state, altering the difficulty and flow of the battle.
This announcement was accompanied by a new trailer showcasing the vibrant environments of the game.
