Frostpunk 2 Breach Of Trust DLC Revealed

11 bit studios has announced that the Breach of Trust downloadable content for Frostpunk 2 is scheduled to launch on June 23, 2026, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series platforms.

This expansion introduces a new story arc set in the city of New Edinburgh, a settlement built near a volatile volcano that has been destabilized by the overuse of geothermal energy.

Players assume the role of the First Citizen following the deposition of the Old Captain and must navigate the city through increasing geological instability and volcanic ash.

The DLC adds a Vote of Trust mechanic that serves as a recurring check on the player’s approval rating as they manage the survival of the population.

Key additions include two new scenario maps and five unique communities that feature individual backgrounds and ideologies.

Environmental challenges are expanded with the introduction of Tremors and Volcano Night mechanics that threaten the infrastructure of the city.

Management options are deepened through five new buildings, additional laws, and interactions with an independent colony known as Aurora.

Relations with this nearby colony can be managed through peaceful trade, forceful extortion, or total conquest as players seek refuge on a frozen lake.
