Free Hatsune Miku art exhibition to feature works by 19 different popular artists

A new illustration exhibition has been announced, which will feature the virtual singer Hatsune Miku.
“FOCUS ON MIKU” is themed around “Cameras, Photos, and Memories,” and it will showcase new, original works from a lineup of nineteen different popular creators, each one putting their own unique “focus” on the iconic character.

The exhibition will be held at two different locations, first in Tokyo and then in Osaka.
The exhibited artworks will be available for purchase as made-to-order, autographed art prints.

Customers at the venue will be able to choose from three different print sizes (A1, A2, or A3) and three different types of high-quality paper.
A lineup of other, exclusive original merchandise will also be sold at the events, including a collaboration with the video-sharing service, Niconico Douga.

A special gift-with-purchase campaign will also be held.
The first customers at each venue who spend ¥3,000 (approx. $20 USD / £16 GBP) or more on merchandise will receive a free, exclusive postcard.

In conjunction with the main exhibition, a separate, concurrent “Hatsune Miku x Camera no Kitamura Collaboration Project” will also be held.
This separate event is themed around “Hatsune Miku x photo” and features a new, original illustration by the artist popman3580, which includes all six of the Piapro Characters (Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, and KAITO).

This collaboration will have its own, separate line of original merchandise, and the Shinjuku Kitamura Photo Machinery store will feature a special, themed window display.

The “FOCUS ON MIKU” exhibition is a free, non-ticketed event.
The Tokyo exhibition will be held at the Shinjuku Kitamura Photo Machinery store’s B1F Basement Gallery, and it is scheduled to run from Saturday, the 1st of November, to Sunday, the 16th of November.

The Osaka exhibition will be held at the Camera no Kitamura Osaka Namba CITY store, and it is scheduled to run from Saturday, the 29th of November, to Sunday, the 28th of December.
