Forever Ago to Release on October 8

Publisher Annapurna Interactive and developer Third Shift have officially announced that the third-person adventure game Forever Ago is scheduled to release on October 8, 2026.

The upcoming single-player title will be available on a wide range of platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2.

PC players can access the game through several digital storefronts such as Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store.

This announcement, shared on June 7, 2026, details an emotional journey centered on a character named Alfred who is dealing with the consequences of a personal tragedy.

Players will guide Alfred and his minivan through diverse environments including serene forest trails, desolate deserts, and vast mountain ranges.

A key mechanic involves using an instant camera to document the trip and solve various environmental puzzles encountered throughout the northern trek.

The narrative focuses on themes of love, loss, and redemption as Alfred examines objects to learn about the people who inhabited these locations before him.

To enhance the atmospheric experience, the game features an original soundtrack composed by Clark Aboud, who is recognized for his work on the title Slay the Spire.

A new trailer has been released alongside the date announcement to provide a deeper look at the gameplay and the scenic world of Forever Ago.
