Forever Ago Coming to PS5, Xbox, Switch 2, and PC, this Fall

Publisher Annapurna Interactive and developer Third Shift have officially announced that the road trip adventure game Forever Ago is scheduled to launch in the fall of 2026.
The title will be available on multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store, as well as the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
Initially revealed in July 2020, this third-person single-player experience follows a protagonist named Alfred as he travels north in a minivan following a significant personal tragedy.
Players will utilize an instant camera to document their journey and solve environmental puzzles while exploring a variety of locations such as deserts, mountains, and forest trails.
The narrative focuses on themes of love, loss, and redemption, featuring a soundtrack composed by Clark Aboud, who is known for his work on the popular title Slay the Spire.
The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer and a set of screenshots released on March 26, 2026, showcasing the game’s emotional exploration and unique environmental interactions.
As Alfred interacts with various objects and characters, he works to understand his surroundings and the stories of those who inhabited the world before him.
