First Look Revealed at New Ouran High School Host Club 20th Anniversary Release
BANDAI SPIRITS has announced a new entry in its popular Ichiban Kuji lottery lineup, this time celebrating the enduring popularity of Ouran High School Host Club with a special anniversary-themed release.
The upcoming lottery, titled Ouran High School Host Club ~20th Anniversary~, has been created to commemorate two decades since the anime adaptation first aired.
Originally created by Bisco Hatori, the manga was serialized in LaLa magazine between 2002 and 2010 before receiving a television anime adaptation from studio BONES in 2006.
The story centers on Haruhi Fujioka, a scholarship student at the elite Ouran Academy who unexpectedly becomes involved with the school’s exclusive Host Club after accidentally damaging an expensive vase.
Unable to repay the debt, Haruhi is drawn into the club’s activities while disguising herself as a male host, leading to a romantic comedy filled with eccentric characters, including club leader Tamaki Suoh and the rest of the charismatic members.
To mark the anime’s 20th anniversary, the new Ichiban Kuji collection will feature a range of commemorative prizes inspired by the beloved series.
The first revealed item is the A Prize, a specially produced anniversary figure showcasing one of the franchise’s most recognizable character pairings.
The display piece depicts Tamaki Suoh presenting a red rose to Haruhi Fujioka, capturing the elegant atmosphere associated with the Host Club.
Attention has been given to accurately reproducing the characters’ appearance, including the distinctive pale blue academy blazer worn by Host Club members.
The sculpt emphasizes the slim character proportions seen in the anime and incorporates detailed fabric folds and clothing textures throughout the design.
A decorative gold-colored base supports the figure and features a 20th Anniversary motif that highlights the commemorative nature of the release.
The figure is intended to evoke memories of the series while celebrating its lasting popularity among fans two decades after its debut.
Additional prize details have not yet been revealed, with further announcements expected closer to launch.
The Ouran High School Host Club ~20th Anniversary~ Ichiban Kuji lottery is scheduled to begin on October 24, 2026, with each entry priced at 750 yen (approx. $5 USD/ £4 GBP).
