FamilyMart launches Green Onion Salt Famichiki nationwide

FamilyMart is set to tantalize taste buds with the launch of a new flavor of Famichiki, their popular fried chicken product.
The savory new “Famichiki Negi Shio Aji” (Green Onion Salt Flavor) will be available nationwide at approximately 16,300 FamilyMart stores starting from late May.

2025 has already seen the launch of several new Famichiki products, including the “Cheese In Famichiki”, which also received a “Cheese In Famichiki Rice Ball” version.

The iconic “Famichiki,” FamilyMart’s flagship fried chicken product, has been a staple of konbini food fans since its debut in 2006.
With an unwavering recipe that has garnered over 2.3 billion units in cumulative sales, Famichiki has also successfully expanded its repertoire with over 30 limited-time flavors, each met with widespread acclaim.
The newly developed “Famichiki Negi Shio Aji” aims to deliver an irresistible flavor perfect for the early summer season, designed to stimulate the appetite.

It features an authentic green onion-infused salt sauce that masterfully enhances the chicken’s inherent umami.
Hidden notes of sesame oil and garlic are incorporated as secret ingredients, contributing to an incredibly addictive taste profile.
According to the product manager, this new flavor is an evolution of the highly popular “Famichiki Umashiodare” (Savory Salt Sauce) released in 2023 and 2024.
“We’ve refined it further to create a dish where the aroma of green onions truly whets the appetite,” the manager commented, encouraging customers to try it.
“Famichiki Negi Shio Aji” will be available at FamilyMart stores across Japan from Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, and will be priced at 248 yen (including tax).
