EXPO 2025 Chogokin RX-78F00/E Gundam gets expanded release – find out where you can buy it
An exclusive Gundam figure that recreates the life-sized statue found outside the “GUNDAM PAVILION” at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo is due to have its sales channels expanded.
Premium Bandai is currently holding its third lottery sale for the “EXPO2025 Chogokin RX-78F00/E Gundam”.
With demand for this particular figure high, BANDAI SPIRITS has also revealed plans for in store sales from late May 2025 in select locations across Japan.
This special Chogokin, or “Super Alloy”, rendition brings the RX-78F00/E Gundam, which is a prominent display at the “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION” at EXPO 2025, into collectors’ hands.
The figure has a realistic metallic feel and tactile weight thanks to the generous use of die-cast parts throughout its body.
Its advanced articulation allows for dynamic posing, including the distinctive one-knee-up, large-arm-raised pose seen in the life-sized statue.
Adding to its realism, various panels on the figure are reproduced with clear parts, giving it a sophisticated look.
It also features light-up gimmicks in the head’s main camera, dual cameras, and chest ducts, bringing the Gundam to life.
For enhanced display options, the figure comes equipped with the Beam Rifle, Hyper Bazooka, and Shield that were previously included with the “Chogokin x GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA RX-78F00 GUNDAM” (sold separately), ensuring a full armament.
The current lottery application period on Premium Bandai will conclude on May 25th, 2025, at 11:00 PM JST. Winners are expected to be announced in early June.
The “EXPO2025 Chogokin RX-78F00/E Gundam” is priced at ¥33,000 (tax included), with shipping scheduled for September 2025 for those lucky enough to win the chance to purchase through the lottery.
For those who miss out on the lottery, there will now be other opportunities to get hold of this exclusive figure.
BANDAI SPIRITS also plans to offer this item for in-store sales at select locations, including TAMASHII NATIONS STORE and Bandai Namco Cross Stores.
