Endless Waltz Fan Favorite Returns with Redesigned GUNDAM UNIVERSE Figure
BANDAI SPIRITS has announced a renewed version of Wing Gundam Zero (EW) as the newest entry in its GUNDAM UNIVERSE action figure series, a collection aimed at Gundam enthusiasts across the global market.
The figure is inspired by the mobile suit featured in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, the OVA continuation of the popular Gundam Wing storyline.
Known by the model number XXXG-00W0, Wing Gundam Zero (EW) was designed by renowned mechanical designer Hajime Katoki and serves as protagonist Heero Yuy’s signature machine within the OVA.
Although it fulfills the same narrative role as the Wing Gundam Zero from the television series, this version adopts a dramatically different visual identity.
Its appearance was extensively reworked with altered proportions, updated colors, and its most recognizable feature, a pair of large feather-like wings extending from its back.
These distinctive wings contribute to exceptional maneuverability and can also fold around the mobile suit to create its Neo-Bird Mode transformation.
The unit retains its famous Twin Buster Rifle, an immensely powerful weapon depicted in the series as capable of unleashing devastating levels of firepower with a full-output shot.
The figure can also be posed holding the separated rifles for dynamic attack displays or with the weapon combined to recreate its iconic maximum-power firing stance.
For this latest release, the figure incorporates the UNIVERSAL REACTION FRAME, an upgraded internal structure introduced to the GUNDAM UNIVERSE range to provide greater articulation and posing freedom.
The revised engineering allows collectors to recreate a wider variety of action-oriented displays and combat scenes than was possible with earlier releases in the line.
Compared with the version released several years ago, the new figure features substantial updates to both its armor sculpting and joint construction.
These changes result in a slimmer silhouette and a more graceful overall appearance that better captures the elegant design of the Endless Waltz mobile suit.
Included accessories allow fans to recreate a number of memorable scenes, with the Twin Buster Rifle capable of being displayed in different configurations and a pair of beam sabers provided for close-range combat poses.
Standing approximately 15 cm tall and manufactured from ABS and PVC materials, the pre-painted action figure is scheduled for release in October 2026 and carries a suggested retail price of 4,400 yen (approx. $30 USD/ £22 GBP).
