Elmo Teams Up with Hello Kitty for New Sesame Street x Sanrio Collab Collection

Sesame Street Market has unveiled the second collaboration in its ongoing partnership with Sanrio, bringing a fresh collection of merchandise and themed café treats to fans starting this month.
Building on the success of the first collaboration, the latest lineup pairs beloved characters from both franchises in a series of colorful designs inspired by friendship and playful everyday moments.

The collection features four character pairings, including Elmo with Hello Kitty, Cookie Monster with Cinnamoroll, Big Bird with Pompompurin, and Oscar the Grouch with Pochacco.

Each design combines the signature colors of both characters while featuring artwork that shows the Sesame Street cast dressed as their Sanrio counterparts or spending time together in cheerful illustrations.

Small themed details inspired by each duo have also been incorporated throughout the collection, including apples, cookies, four-leaf clovers and carrots that reference the characters’ favorite foods and personalities.
Plush charms, priced at ¥3,520 (approx. $24 USD / £18 GBP), depict the Sesame Street characters dressed as their Sanrio partners while holding themed accessories connected to each duo, such as Elmo with an apple, Cookie Monster with a cookie, Big Bird with a clover and Oscar with a carrot.

Matching plush badges, priced at ¥1,650 (approx. $11 USD / £8 GBP), feature the same adorable facial designs in a rounded format, while the fluffy face pouches, priced at ¥3,850 (approx. $26 USD / £19 GBP), recreate each character’s face as a soft accessory.

The pass cases, priced at ¥2,970 (approx. $20 USD / £15 GBP), continue the playful theme by showing the costumed Sesame Street characters peeking out from the top of each holder.

Meanwhile, the retro-inspired ringer T-shirts, priced at ¥5,940 (approx. $40 USD / £30 GBP), can easily be paired with jeans, cargo pants or skirts, making them suitable for a wide range of casual styles.

The tote bags, priced at ¥3,520 (approx. $24 USD / £18 GBP), showcase each character pairing enjoying time together, while the collectible stickers, priced at ¥660 (approx. $4 USD / £3 GBP), can be used to decorate laptops, notebooks or smartphone cases.

The collaboration also extends to the Sesame Street Market café, where four themed donuts are available for ¥690 each (approx. $5 USD / £3 GBP).

Each donut is topped with a decorative wafer featuring one of the four character pairings and finished with a glaze inspired by the duo’s signature colors.
The Elmo and Hello Kitty donut combines an apple-flavored glaze with custard sauce, Cookie Monster and Cinnamoroll features a cinnamon glaze with white chocolate sauce, Big Bird and Pompompurin pairs a custard glaze with caramel sauce, while Oscar and Pochacco blends a matcha milk glaze with rich matcha sauce.

Every donut is accompanied by a heart-shaped dropper filled with extra sauce, allowing customers to customize the flavor as they eat.

Customers who order both a collaboration donut and a drink will also receive a limited-edition drink sleeve featuring one of the four character pairings.

The SESAME STREET MARKET × Sanrio Characters collaboration collection launches on July 2, 2026 at Sesame Street Market locations in Ikebukuro Sunshine City, Urban Dock LaLaport Toyosu, Hanshin Umeda Main Store and Tamagawa Takashimaya S.C., as well as through the official online store.
