Crypton unveils multilingual Hatsune Miku V6 voice synth to release in 2026

Crypton Future Media has officially announced its highly anticipated new software, ‘Hatsune Miku V6’, which is scheduled for a full release in the first half of 2026.
To celebrate the announcement, the company launched a new teaser page on Friday, October 31, 2025, giving fans a first listen to the evolved virtual singer.

The new teaser page features a full demo song, “Prism” (by Roji feat. Hatsune Miku), which showcases the software’s advanced capabilities currently in development.

‘Hatsune Miku’ first launched in 2007 as a voice synthesis software powered by Yamaha’s “VOCALOID” engine.

The software and its iconic blue-green twin-tailed character sparked a global cultural phenomenon, leading to a massive wave of user-generated content and growing Miku into a virtual superstar who now performs concerts worldwide.

This upcoming ‘Hatsune Miku V6’ is the latest product in the VOCALOID-engine series, existing alongside Crypton’s independently developed “NT” engine line.
The new software is powered by the AI technology integrated into VOCALOID6.

This AI integration allows for a significantly more natural and expressive vocal synthesis.
A major feature of ‘Hatsune Miku V6’ will be its multilingual support, with the software scheduled to include voice libraries for Japanese, English, and Chinese, allowing creators to produce fluent, multi-language songs.

Crypton has noted that the Chinese library is expected to be provided in a free update after the official release.
In a special offer for longtime fans, Crypton has also announced an Early Access program.

Around mid-December 2025, users who own previous versions of the VOCALOID ‘Hatsune Miku’ software will be eligible to receive a free Early Access version of ‘Hatsune Miku V6’, which will include the Japanese voice library.

Crypton will release more detailed information about the product sequentially via its official “SONICWIRE” digital creator store.
The ‘Hatsune Miku V6’ teaser page is now live for fans to visit, and the video for “Prism” can be viewed on YouTube:
