Classic Japanese candy gets Hypnosis Mic makeover to attract Gen Z

Japan’s “Cola Punch” candy will be collaborating with Hypnosis Mic, with the hopes of reaching a new, younger, audience.
Cola Punch is a cola flavored version of Yoglet, a tablet-style candy that was first released in 1979.
Since then various different spin-offs have been released with different flavors such as High Lemon, Grape Punch and Cola Punch.

Atrion, a former Meiji Group subsidiary, is the current manufacturer of Yoglet and Cola Punch, and they hope to reach Gen Z consumers with the help of popular multimedia project Hypnosis Mic and two new “Cola Punch” products.
Hypnosis Mic is a music-based character rap project that was launched in September 2017.
Featuring a total of 18 unique characters divided into six teams that engage in heated rap battles, the project has been adapted into various media such as manga, game apps, stage plays, live concerts and anime.
The new Cola Punch x Hypnosis Mic collaboration will form part of the promotion for the new Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- movie which will be released on February 21st 2025.

The collaboration will see the standard Cola Punch packaging updated to feature characters from the series:

Two new Cola Punch products will also be launched – “Cola Punch X Hard Gummy” and “Cola Punch X Tablet”, with both set to feature packaging based on the Hypnosis Mic movie:


A total of 6 different Hypnosis Mic themed packaging designs will be available for both of the new Cola Punch products, with fans of the series likely to be eager to collect them all:



The new Cola Punch x Hypnosis Mic product range will be available exclusively at FamilyMart stores from February 18th 2025, before being released at most other major convenience stores and supermarkets nationwide from March 4th 2025.
