Code Geass’s Official Life-Size Zero Mask Replica Returns for 20th Anniversary Re-Release
Image by James RichardsonMegaHouse has officially announced a re-release of its life-size replica of Zero’s iconic mask from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion as part of the anime’s ongoing 20th anniversary celebrations.
The “Full Scale Works Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion 1/1 Scale Zero’s Mask” originally launched in 2018 and recreates the distinctive headpiece used by Lelouch vi Britannia to conceal his identity as the masked leader of the Black Knights.

The “Full Scale Works” range specializes in recreating recognizable anime masks and helmets at life size, with MegaHouse also recently bringing back its 1/1 scale replica of Char Aznable’s helmet from Mobile Suit Gundam.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion premiered in 2006 and follows the exiled Britannian prince after he gains the supernatural power of Geass and begins a rebellion against the Holy Britannian Empire under the identity of Zero.

The mask becomes inseparable from that alter ego throughout the series, concealing Lelouch’s face during public appearances and helping transform Zero into a symbol that exists separately from the prince behind it.

The franchise is currently marking 20 years since the original anime through the wider “Road to CODE GEASS 20th Year” celebrations, which have included revival screenings, new merchandise and a major anniversary exhibition featuring both Lelouch of the Rebellion and Rozé of the Recapture.

MegaHouse first released the full-size Zero mask through its Full Scale Works line in October 2018, with the newly announced production run making the replica available again eight years later.

The finished piece stands approximately 35 cm tall and reproduces the mask’s sharply defined silhouette, sweeping curved surfaces and elongated front section at full scale.

Character designer Takahiro Kimura completely supervised the product, with MegaHouse also reproducing details across the inside of the mask that are normally hidden from view.

The replica is made from PVC and supplied as a fully painted finished model, with a simple blister display stand included for presentation and although the interior is hollow, MegaHouse states that the mask is intended exclusively as a display piece and should not be worn.

Code Geass has received another major MegaHouse re-release for its anniversary, with the “G.E.M. Series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection Zero” receiving redesigned 20th anniversary packaging and additional setting materials.

The wider anniversary celebrations will also continue through a dedicated Code Geass exhibition touring Japan, bringing together material from the original Lelouch of the Rebellion anime and the more recent Rozé of the Recapture.

Pre-orders for the “Full Scale Works Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion 1/1 Scale Zero’s Mask” will open on October 9 at 1:00 PM (JST) exclusively through Premium Bandai Japan, AmiAmi and Animate.

The re-release is priced at ¥42,900 (approximately $272/£205) and is scheduled to ship in late March 2027.
