Popular Code Geass Zero Statue Gets Special 20th Anniversary Reissue
A fan-favorite statue of Zero from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection is making a comeback as part of the franchise’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
The returning figure is part of MegaHouse’s long-running G.E.M. Series lineup, and collectors will now have another opportunity to secure a release that has remained popular since its original debut.
The Code Geass franchise began with the 2006 television anime Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and quickly became one of the most recognizable mecha anime properties of its generation.
Set in an alternate world where the Holy Britannian Empire has conquered Japan and renamed it Area 11, the story follows Lelouch Lamperouge after he acquires the supernatural Geass power, which allows him to command absolute obedience from others.
Using this ability, Lelouch adopts the identity of Zero and launches a campaign against Britannia in pursuit of revenge and freedom.
The sequel series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 expanded to a nationwide broadcast in Japan during 2008 and concluded with an ending that continues to be widely discussed among anime fans.
Over the years, the franchise has expanded far beyond television through films, manga series, stage productions, orchestral concerts, exhibitions, video games, and an extensive range of collectible merchandise.
The “G.E.M. Series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection Zero” has been recreated using a sculpt originally produced by Yu Imai of Shinkogyou, with paintwork completed by Tc.
The figure was developed under the close supervision of character designer Takahiro Kimura, resulting in a presentation that aims to faithfully capture Zero’s distinctive appearance.
Both the sculpting and paint application have been carefully executed to deliver a premium-quality display piece that reflects the character’s on-screen design.
Collectors will be able to customize the figure using interchangeable components that allow several different display options.
These parts make it possible to recreate Zero wearing his mask, displaying his uncovered face, or activating Geass with either one glowing eye or both eyes illuminated.
Additional posing possibilities include a display configuration where Zero is shown holding his signature mask, providing even more variety for collectors.
As this release commemorates the series’ 20th anniversary, the figure’s packaging has been redesigned specifically for the occasion.
The updated package also includes special Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection setting materials, giving the anniversary edition added appeal beyond the figure itself.
Pre-orders are currently available through Premium Bandai, with the 20th Anniversary reissue priced at ¥22,000 (approx. $150 USD/£110 GBP) and scheduled for shipment in December 2026.
