Bandai's new "MS MUSEUM" Gundam figure line continues with the Prototype Dom

A new action figure has been announced for the “Robot Spirits ver. A.N.I.M.E.” line, the second release in its new “MS MUSEUM” sub-series.

The “ROBOT SPIRITS <SIDE MS> YMS-09 Prototype Dom ver. A.N.I.M.E. ～MS MUSEUM～” has now been fully unveiled to coincide with the start of its pre-order period.

This new figure of the Prototype Dom, the direct precursor to the formidable mass-produced Dom from the original Mobile Suit Gundam, incorporates two concepts into its design.

The “ver. A.N.I.M.E.” designation means that the figure has been designed to be a faithful recreation of the mobile suit as it appeared in the original animation.

Recent releases under the “ver. A.N.I.M.E.” brand have included anime-accurate figures of the RX-78-2 Gundam and Char’s Zaku II.

The “MS MUSEUM” concept for this line presents the mobile suits as if they were historical artifacts in a museum, with a focus on realism and display.

The figure is covered in extensive, realistic markings that are applied with high-quality tampo printing and paint, designed to evoke the feel of a real piece of military hardware.

It also comes with a new, specially designed museum-style display base that enhances its standing poses.

The figure, which stands at approximately 130 millimeters tall, comes with its signature armaments.

These include a Giant Bazooka and a Heat Saber, with an alternate, “glowing” blade part also included.

In a unique bonus, the set also comes with a small speed wrench accessory and a special right-hand part that are designed to be used with the previously released “Robot Spirits Mass Production Type Zaku” figure.

The figure is a Premium Bandai exclusive, priced at 11,000 yen (approx. $74.49 USD / £55.37 GBP), and it is scheduled to be shipped to customers in December 2025.
