Bandai Reveals First Look at New Ghost in the Shell Motoko Kusanagi and Fuchikoma Figures
Tamashii Nations has offered fans their first official look at two new collectibles based on the latest Ghost in the Shell anime, with Motoko Kusanagi and the beloved Fuchikoma both set to join the company’s growing lineup of premium figures.
Ghost in the Shell is one of the most influential cyberpunk franchises ever created, following Major Motoko Kusanagi and Public Security Section 9 as they investigate cybercrime and political conspiracies in a technologically advanced future where the line between humans and machines has become increasingly blurred.
The newest television anime premiered earlier this month and is produced by Science SARU, returning the franchise to a visual style that closely reflects Masamune Shirow’s original manga while once again taking viewers to Japan in the year 2029.
Motoko Kusanagi will join the popular S.H.Figuarts action figure series, while the iconic Fuchikoma will receive a fully articulated release as part of THE ROBOT SPIRITS line, which specializes in highly detailed robot collectibles.
The first promotional images showcase Motoko wearing her combat suit with a faithful sculpt that captures the character’s appearance from the new anime, while the Fuchikoma recreates its distinctive four-legged mobility system, articulated mechanical arms and vibrant blue-and-red color scheme.
Although Tamashii Nations has yet to reveal full product specifications or release details for either figure, the first images have provided fans a clear look at some of the first collectibles based on the new series.
The Ghost in the Shell reveals formed part of Tamashii Nations’ latest global TAMASHII NEWS NETWORK livestream, which highlighted a packed schedule of upcoming anime, manga and gaming collectibles ahead of San Diego Comic-Con.
Among the biggest announcements was S.H.Figuarts Choso from Jujutsu Kaisen, complete with Blood Manipulation accessories including interchangeable blood-covered fists, a Blood Blade weapon and an impressive 20 cm Piercing Blood effect part, while Tamashii Nations also confirmed that S.H.Figuarts Mahito will make its first public appearance during a dedicated Jujutsu Kaisen exhibit at San Diego Comic-Con.
Elsewhere, the presentation included the first look at S.H.Figuarts Mini Starscourge Radahn from Elden Ring, previewed the upcoming S.H.Figuarts Tengen Uzui from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, confirmed an enhanced version of Berserk’s Guts (Berserker Armor) -Heat of Passion-, teased Femto as the next Berserk release and officially revealed that the previously teased My Hero Academia prototype was Dark Deku.
Hunter x Hunter fans were also given a preview of Chrollo Lucilfer, while the presentation revisited recently announced releases including S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (2026), the expanding CHANGEARTS Dragon Ball lineup and the full reveal of S.H.Figuarts “Red-Haired” Shanks -Paramount War- from One Piece.
Tamashii Nations has not yet announced pricing, pre-order dates or release windows for S.H.Figuarts Motoko Kusanagi or THE ROBOT SPIRITS Fuchikoma, with additional information expected to be revealed in the near future.
