Bandai Releases Exclusive New Gundam F91 Gunpla Kit

Bandai has released a new Gundam Base exclusive Gunpla model kit based on a popular mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam F91.

The “HG 1/144 Gundam F91 [Afterimage Clear Ver.]” recreates Seabook Arno’s high-performance mobile suit as it appeared during its iconic final battle sequence.

High Grade models are the core of the Gunpla hobby due to their accessible 1/144 scale and impressive range of movement.

Mobile Suit Gundam F91 explores a new era of the Universal Century where the Earth Federation’s complacency allows the aristocratic Crossbone Vanguard to launch a sudden and devastating military offensive.

The Gundam F91 is a pinnacle of miniaturized mobile suit technology designed to overwhelm opponents with incredible speed and maneuverability.

During periods of maximum output, the machine initiates the Metal Peel-off effect to forcibly cool its internal systems by shedding the outer layer of its armor.

This unique cooling process creates an afterimage with mass that deceives enemy sensors and pilots alike on the battlefield.

This special release utilizes a sparkling translucent molding color infused with glitter to perfectly capture the glowing effect seen in the climax of the film.

Builders can utilize interchangeable parts to display the mobile suit with its heat radiation fins fully deployed from the shoulder armor.

The kit also features selectable head parts to recreate the mechanical Face Open state that occurs during maximum cooling operations.

Standard armaments such as the Variable Speed Beam Rifle (V.S.B.R.), Beam Launcher, Beam Rifle, and Beam Shield are included to allow for a wide variety of dynamic action poses. 

The “HG 1/144 Gundam F91 [Afterimage Clear Ver.]” is a Gundam Base exclusive, priced at 1,870 yen (approx. $12 USD/£9 GBP), and is now on sale at Gundam Base stores across Japan.

This latest release follows the recent announcement of a new Gunpla kit based on the Zaku from Gundam SEED DESTINY, as well as re-releases of kits for mobile suits from series including The Witch from Mercury, Zeta Gundam and Crossbone Gundam.
