Bandai Opens Orders for Exclusive Gundam SEED DESTINY Master Grade Gunpla Kit
Bandai has announced the exclusive release of a new Master Grade Gunpla model kit based on the hit anime series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY.
The “MG 1/100 Blaze Zaku Phantom (Heine Westenfluss Custom)” faithfully recreates the heavily armed variant of the ZAFT mass-production mobile suit.
Master Grade models are produced at a 1/100 scale and are highly regarded for their complex internal skeletal frames that allow for exceptional detail and articulation.
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY serves as a direct sequel to the original SEED series, following the escalating interstellar conflict between the Earth Alliance and the ZAFT military forces.
The “MG 1/100 Blaze Zaku Phantom (Heine Westenfluss Custom)” depicts the dedicated machine piloted by the charismatic veteran ZAFT ace, molded entirely in his signature vibrant orange color scheme.
The kit comes equipped with the specialized Blaze Wizard backpack system, which enhances the mobile suit’s mobility using large booster units and integrated missile pods.
The main thruster hatches on the backpack incorporate a functioning opening mechanism that reveals intricate internal mechanical details molded directly into the plastic.
Additionally, the missile pods housed within the tips of the boosters feature an original deploying gimmick designed specifically to recreate intense firing sequences.
Also included are the machine’s standard armaments, consisting of a beam assault rifle, a beam tomahawk for close-quarters combat, and dual shoulder-mounted shields.
Builders can customize the aesthetic of the mobile suit using a newly designed sheet of water slide decals.
These high-quality decals feature specialized markings, including Heine Westenfluss’s personal emblem and the official insignia of the Hawkins team.
The package provides an additional right shoulder armor piece molded in the matching orange color.
This bonus component can be utilized with the separately sold standard “MG 1/100 Blaze Zaku Phantom / Blaze Zaku Warrior” to recreate specific customized loadouts.
Pre-orders for the “MG 1/100 Blaze Zaku Phantom (Heine Westenfluss Custom)” opened on June 11 via the Premium Bandai online store for 5,390 yen (approx $34 USD / £27 GBP), with shipping currently scheduled to begin in September 2026.
