Bandai Hobby has announced the post-event sales information for a highly sought after commemorative figure in their popular METAL BUILD figure line.
The “METAL BUILD Hi-v Gundam [METAL BUILD EXPO]” provides collectors with a unique opportunity to own an updated version of the famous mobile suit.

The Hi-v Gundam is a highly popular mobile suit, originating from the Beltorchika’s Children novelization of Char’s Counterattack.

Piloted by Amuro Ray, this powerful machine represents the pinnacle of Earth Federation technology during the Second Neo Zeon War.

This premium die-cast figure was originally created to celebrate the METAL BUILD EXPO starting in Tokyo on March 27, with sales initially set to take place exclusively at the event.

Designers have revamped the color scheme to feature a striking blue base that pays homage to classic illustrations of the mobile suit.

The highly articulated model incorporates newly sculpted Fin Funnel joint parts to vastly expand the display possibilities.

Builders can now choose to suspend the remote weapons entirely on one side of the robot, mimicking the asymmetric silhouette of the standard Nu Gundam, rather than just the familiar symmetrical wing shape.

The joint structure attaching to the funnel rack has also been redesigned for easier removal and attachment to encourage frequent swapping.

Standing approximately 20.5 centimeters tall, the figure utilizes a sturdy combination of ABS plastic, PVC, and die-cast metal components to ensure a premium weight and feel.

The comprehensive package includes the main body alongside four pairs of interchangeable hands to hold various heavy armaments.

The “METAL BUILD Hi-v Gundam [METAL BUILD EXPO]” is priced at 39,600 yen (approx. £207 GBP / $262 USD).
