Monster Hunter Stories 3 Adds Royal Monsters in Free Summer Update
Capcom has announced that a free content update for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is scheduled for release in the summer of 2026.
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto confirmed in a recent video message that this update will introduce Royal Monsters, which are described as extremely powerful versions of existing creatures.
These formidable foes will appear throughout the game world, providing players with more difficult combat encounters in the field.
Tsujimoto advised that riders should reach level 90 or higher before attempting these battles, emphasizing the need for carefully planned strategies and high-level Monsties.
In addition to the free update, Capcom is currently developing a paid expansion titled Additional Side Story: Rudy.
Development for this downloadable content is reportedly progressing well, leading the team to consider a release date earlier than originally planned.
More specific details regarding the Rudy expansion are expected to be shared with the community in the near future.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is currently available to play on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through the Steam platform.
