Bandai announces new model kit of Yu-Gi-Oh!’s Slifer the Sky Dragon
Bandai Spirits has announced that the final Egyptian God monster, Slifer the Sky Dragon, is being released as a plastic model kit.
The “Figure-rise Standard Amplified – Slifer the Sky Dragon” completes the “Advent of the Three Egyptian Gods” sub-series, which has previously released model kits of The Winged Dragon of Ra and Obelisk the Tormentor.
“Figure-rise Standard Amplified” is a line of model kits known for its highly detailed and stylized redesigns of iconic characters and creatures.
The three Egyptian God Cards are legendary and immensely powerful monsters from the classic anime series, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters.
This new model kit will bring the serpentine sky dragon to life in the brand’s signature, “amplified” style.
The initial announcement has confirmed several key features of the new kit.
It will include a special, “Amplified interpretation” of Slifer’s signature attack, the “Thunderforce Attack.”
The included accessories will feature a display base and a lead wire, which will likely be used to help pose the dragon’s long, articulated body.
Further details regarding the model’s specific gimmicks and features have not yet been released, with more information to be announced at a later date.
The release of this third kit will finally allow fans and model builders to assemble and display all three of the iconic Egyptian God monsters in the same dynamic and stylized format.
The “Figure-rise Standard Amplified Slifer the Sky Dragon” is priced at ¥9,900 (approx. $67 USD/£50 GBP) and it is scheduled to be released in March 2026.
