Action Adventure Crossfire Announced for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC

Developer That’s No Moon and publisher Team K1 officially announced Crossfire during the Summer Game Fest 2026 event held on June 5, 2026.

The upcoming title is described as a narrative-driven cinematic action adventure game that features third-person shooter mechanics.

This debut project from the independent studio is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC through both Steam and the Epic Games Store.

While the announcement on June 5, 2026, generated significant interest, a specific launch date for the title has not yet been established.

The story follows a mercenary named Layla Qassem who finds herself trapped during a reconnaissance mission in the harsh environment of the Atlas Mountains.

Layla is forced to form an uneasy alliance with an opposing operative named Delroy Cross to survive an existential threat.

Players will experience a tactical evolution of cover-based shooting through a new feature called Adaptive Cover which allows the terrain to be used as a weapon.

The gameplay emphasizes high-tension combat where a single bullet can be lethal, requiring players to master stealth and flanking maneuvers.

The development team includes industry veterans who previously worked on high-profile franchises such as Uncharted, The Last of Us, Call of Duty, and God of War.

This reimagining of the Crossfire franchise aims to deliver a grounded and sophisticated experience utilizing the capabilities of current-generation hardware.
