About Fishing Gameplay Trailer Reveals New Features

Publisher Playstack and developer The Water Museum officially released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming project, About Fishing, on March 25, 2026.
The game is a fishing mystery title that takes creative inspiration from classic Sega titles such as Shenmue and SEGA Bass Fishing.
Players will experience a blend of meditative fishing rhythms and quiet tension as they uncover a long-forgotten mystery hidden beneath the water.
The developer, Kevin of The Water Museum, previously created the title Arctic Eggs and is working alongside artist Angel Perez Guzman and composer Cameron Ginex.
New physics-based mechanics ensure that every catch has its own specific patterns and behaviors for players to learn.
The environment features a dynamic world where the town and its inhabitants change according to the passage of time and shifting weather conditions.
As of March 25, 2026, the developers have confirmed the game will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, though a specific release date is not yet announced.
A lighthearted disclaimer from the team noted that while no fish were harmed during development, the same cannot be said for the curly fries consumed by the staff.
