7 Days To Die Developer The Fun Pimps Acquired by Behaviour Interactive

Behaviour Interactive, the studio behind the hit multiplayer title Dead by Daylight, has officially acquired 7 Days to Die developer The Fun Pimps.

The announcement, made on March 24, 2026, marks a significant expansion for Behaviour Interactive as it continues to build a specialized portfolio of horror gaming titles.

The Fun Pimps co-founder Richard Huenink shared that the studio, which began as a small project in November 2012, has grown to a team of 70 people and sold over 20 million copies of its flagship survival game.

Huenink explained that the decision to join Behaviour Interactive was driven by a need for additional resources and support to achieve the ambitious long term vision for 7 Days to Die.

The acquisition aligns The Fun Pimps with other prominent horror developers under the Behaviour umbrella, such as Red Hook Studios, the creators of the Darkest Dungeon series.

Despite the change in ownership, the original development team will remain in place to continue their work on the game.

Behaviour Interactive intends to invest in the studio to expand its capabilities in art, engineering, design, and community support.

The partnership is built on shared philosophies regarding community engagement and the importance of game modding.

While specific details regarding future projects remain under wraps, the companies plan to share more comprehensive plans later in 2026.

The Fun Pimps expressed confidence that this move will allow them to tackle their most complex ideas while maintaining the identity of the game they have built over the last 12 years.
