Weekly Shōnen Jump and Pokémon’s collaboration issue is out now

Shueisha has released a special issue of its iconic manga magazine, Weekly Shōnen Jump, featuring a large-scale collaboration with the Pokémon franchise.
The new issue, a combined “36-37” double issue, was released on Monday, the 4th of August.

Weekly Shōnen Jump is one of the longest-running and most famous manga magazines in the world, having been the original home to legendary series like Dragon Ball, Naruto, and One Piece.

The centerpiece of this new collaboration is a special cover, which features a collage of Pokémon drawn by the magazine’s current lineup of prominent manga creators.
Each artist has drawn a different Pokémon in their own signature art style.
The full list of featured artist and Pokémon pairings is as follows:
- Eiichiro Oda, creator of One Piece, has contributed an illustration of Pikachu with Luffy.

- Kouji Miura, creator of Blue Box, has drawn Totodile with Chinatsu Kano.

- Yuto Suzuki, creator of SAKAMOTO DAYS, has drawn Chikorita with Taro Sakamoto.

- Takeru Hokazono, creator of Kagurabachi, has drawn Tepig with Chihiro Rokuhira.

- Shiro Usazaki, the artist for Madan no Ichi (Ichi the Witch), has contributed an illustration of Gallade with Ichi.

In addition to the special cover art, the magazine includes several bonus items for readers.
A “Special Collab Sticker vol. 1” featuring the new artwork is included as a pack-in bonus with the magazine itself.

A separate prize campaign is also being held, where a total of 7,120 readers can win exclusive collaboration merchandise, such as a metal art board or a tote bag.

The magazine is priced at ¥330 and is now on sale at book stores and convenience stores across Japan.
