The gameplay focuses on the Simulacrum, a being emerging from a cocoon to collect the blood of gods known as Ichor within a multidimensional world.

Players can explore hand-drawn biomes such as the Gray City and the Abandoned Expedition while battling over 70 unique enemy types.

The experience includes 10 formidable boss battles and allows for deep customization through the discovery of over 30 active and passive Artifacts.

Beyond combat, the title features a shrine-building mechanic where players expand their influence and uncover secrets through a growing cult of followers.

The game is noted for its tight controls and atmospheric score, contributing to its reputation as a dynamic entry in the modern Metroidvania genre.
