US Re-Release Confirmed for Turn A Gundam’s Exclusive MG Moonlight Butterfly Gunpla Kit
Image by Charlotte DavisThe exclusive MG 1/100 Turn A Gundam (Moonlight Butterfly Ver.) is getting another US release, giving builders a fresh opportunity to pick up one of the most striking Master Grade versions of the Turn A Gundam.
Based on the title mobile suit from Turn A Gundam, this version replaces the standard kit’s regular finish with pearl white armor, metallic red, blue, and yellow parts, and darker gunmetal tones across its joints and mechanical sections.
The special color treatment is designed around Turn A Gundam with its Moonlight Butterfly system active, but the biggest change comes from the enormous effect parts mounted across its back.
The two Moonlight Butterfly wings spread far beyond the width of the mobile suit and feature multicolored patterns across their surfaces, with holographic processing helping them catch and reflect light from different angles.
Clear connection parts keep the mounting system from distracting from the wings themselves, while the adjustable supports allow each side to be repositioned for wider or more swept-back displays.
A clear Action Base 1 with glitter-style molding is also included, giving builders a dedicated stand for displaying Turn A Gundam in the air with the Moonlight Butterfly fully deployed.
The kit otherwise retains the features of the MG Turn A Gundam, including its transformable Core Fighter cockpit and opening chest sections that expose the internal multipurpose silos.
Its weapon selection includes the Beam Rifle, two Beam Sabers, Gundam Hammer, and Shield, giving builders several options for more conventional combat poses when the Moonlight Butterfly effects are not being used.
The Beam Rifle and Shield can also be mounted on the rear of the mobile suit, helping keep the weapons attached while leaving the hands free for other poses.
The combination of the pearl and metallic finish, oversized holographic wings, and included display base gives this version a much stronger centerpiece presence than the standard Master Grade Turn A Gundam.
The kit is now back in stock through Premium Bandai US, where the MG 1/100 Turn A Gundam (Moonlight Butterfly Ver.) is available for $81, whilst stocks last.
