Universal Studios Japan Reveals New Super Nintendo World 5th Anniversary Merch and Food

Universal Studios Japan has officially announced an upcoming celebration to mark the 5th anniversary of one of its most popular themed areas.
This milestone event brings a wave of commemorative goods, exclusive food, and limited-edition merchandise inspired by the iconic Super Star to Super Nintendo World.

Super Nintendo World is a groundbreaking immersive land that first opened in Osaka, Japan, in 2021.
The area allows guests to step directly into the colorful video game universes created by Nintendo.

Visitors can race in real-life Mario Kart vehicles, ride on the back of Yoshi, and interact with the environment using special wristbands.
This year marks the five-year milestone for the zone, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of Universal Studios Japan as a whole.

To celebrate, the park is introducing a special “We are all STARS!” theme to encourage guests to team up and play together.
The celebration heavily features the Super Star, a famous power-up that grants Mario temporary invincibility and plays a catchy musical tune.

Let’s take a look at the celebratory offerings!
The Anniversary Power-Up Band features a colorful design inspired by Invincible Mario, allowing guests to collect digital coins and participate in Key Challenges.

Fans can also pick up a commemorative Face Towel, which features a Super Star patch and a fun map motif of the park area.

For a unique souvenir, the Anniversary Super Star Popcorn Bucket lights up in flashing colors and plays the famous invincibility background music when activated.

Visitors looking for a sweet treat can enjoy the Super Nintendo World Anniversary Cake, a massive dessert designed to be shared among four people.

Kinopio’s Cafe will also serve the Super Star Anniversary Plate, a hearty meal consisting of a mushroom lasagna and fried chicken accompanied by star-shaped bread.

Outside the land, the Mario Cafe and Store will offer the Invincible Super Star Pancake Sandwich, a sparkling mango and cream dessert with star-shaped sugar toppings.

Guests can wash down their treats with Power-Up Sodas, which are jelly-filled refreshing drinks available in three flavors representing Mario, Princess Peach, and Luigi.

Alongside the food and apparel, guests can participate in a special interactive sticker campaign.
The story for the event involves Mario and his friends losing the Super Stars meant to decorate their anniversary cake.

Visitors who find star motifs around the park and report them to crew members will receive an exclusive commemorative sticker.

Pricing details for these specific goods and menu options have not yet been announced, so conversions to USD and GBP cannot be provided at this time.
The new menu options and merchandise will be officially available starting Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

The Power-Up Band and Face Towel can be purchased at the 1UP Factory inside the park or through the Universal Studios Japan Online Store.
The Popcorn Bucket will be sold at the Pit Stop Popcorn cart.

The Anniversary Cake and Plate will be served exclusively at Kinopio’s Cafe.
The Pancake Sandwich and Power-Up Sodas will be available outside the Nintendo area at the Mario Cafe & Store located in the Hollywood section of the park.
