Thinking of going to Tokyo Game Show 2025? Here’s how to get tickets

The official website for the Tokyo Game Show 2025 has officially gone live as the exhibition gears up for its largest event ever.
This new site is the main source for all event information, including lists of game companies that will be there and details on special exhibits.

Along with the website launch, the organizers have laid out all the details on how to buy tickets for the public days of the show.
The Tokyo Game Show 2025, which is scheduled to run from September 25th to September 28th at the Makuhari Messe, will be one of the biggest gaming events on the planet, and it opens its doors to everyone for the final two days of the convention, following two initial “business” days for industry attendees.

If you want to attend this year, you have two main ticket options to choose from for the general public admission dates on the 27th and 28th of September.
The first is the standard one-day ticket, which costs 3,000 yen (approx. $20.43 USD / £15.05 GBP) and gets you into the show for a full day of gaming excitement.

The second option is the “Fast Ticket”, a premium pass that costs 6,000 yen (approx. $40.86 USD / £30.11 GBP).

This pass lets you enter the convention hall ahead of the general crowd and also comes with special merchandise.
The Fast Ticket is the new name for what used to be called the “Supporters Club Ticket”, but it still offers the same early entry benefit.
Good news for families is that kids in elementary school and younger can get in for free, however, if an adult is using a Fast Ticket for early entry, any child accompanying them will need their own Fast Ticket as well.

Getting your hands on these tickets involves two different methods.
Standard one-day tickets are sold through a variety of online ticket sellers, both in Japan and overseas, and you can buy them as long as they aren’t sold out.
The Fast Tickets, however, are in very high demand, so they are sold through a lottery system.
You have to enter your name into a draw during a specific week-long period for a chance to be able to purchase one.

Organizers also mentioned that if you plan on attending in cosplay, a separate cosplay registration will be required, which will have its own fee.
More details on how to register as a cosplayer will be posted on the event’s social media later.
The sale for standard tickets, and the lottery entry for Fast Tickets, both kick off at noon on July 12th.

You can buy a standard Saturday ticket until 3:30 PM on September 27th, and a Sunday ticket until 3:00 PM on September 28th.
The sign-up window for the Fast Ticket lottery starts on July 12th and closes at 11:59 PM on July 21st.
You can access the official website in Japanese or English to purchase tickets once they go on sale.
