The Shugo Chara! Cast Get a Y2K Makeover for New Pop Up Shop

A new Shugo Chara! POP UP SHOP will open in Shibuya this August, giving fans the chance to pick up exclusive merchandise featuring brand-new Y2K-inspired artwork.
The event introduces freshly illustrated designs that reimagine the cast in fashionable streetwear, complete with animal-ear hats inspired by the Y2K aesthetic.
Shugo Chara! is based on the manga by Peach-Pit and follows Amu Hinamori, a young girl whose mysterious Guardian Characters help her discover her true self while navigating friendship, personal growth and magical adventures.
Visitors will be able to browse a variety of merchandise and accessories inspired by the new illustrations, including badges, keychains, acrylic stands and apparel.
Customers who spend ¥3,300 or more on eligible products during the event will receive one random original bromide from a selection of five designs as a purchase bonus (approx. $22 USD/ £17 GBP).
Separate bromide sets will be offered for customers shopping at the venue and those purchasing through the online store.
The Shugo Chara! POP UP SHOP will be held on the first floor of Tower Records Shibuya, located at 1-22-14 Jinnan, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
The event will run from August 21 to August 31, 2026.
Opening hours are scheduled from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. each day, with the final day closing earlier at 5:00 p.m..
