The PG UNLEASHED v Gundam is set to be the largest Gunpla kit ever
New details and the final package art for the highly anticipated “PERFECT GRADE UNLEASHED 1/60 v Gundam” have been revealed by Bandai Spirits.
The information was shared during the “3rd Gunpla 45th Anniversary Special Stream” on November 18, which showed that the massive kit is set to become the physically largest package in Gunpla history.
The v Gundam is the iconic mobile suit piloted by Amuro Ray in the theatrical anime Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack.
The “PG UNLEASHED” line is the highest-grade model kit line from Bandai, known for pushing the boundaries of engineering and detail.
Given the large size of the completed model kit, the packaging has been designed to be notably huge, appearing massive even when held by an adult.
The front art features the v Gundam against the Psycho-Frame glow and the Earth, echoing the film’s memorable climax.
The kit’s focus on detail is extreme, and new “Realistic Decals” with a metallic sheen were showcased, revealing their staggering number and complexity.
Water-slide decals, newly designed for this kit, are also included for fine detailing.
The internal frame has also been meticulously crafted, and it features two different shades of gold plating for added depth and complexity.
Additionally, a cover part to obscure the eyes, as seen in maintenance scenes in the movie, will be included.
The kit is compatible with a separately sold LED unit, which adds special light-up gimmicks to the completed model.
These features include a sequential lighting effect for the eyes, chest, and cockpit.
The cockpit display is highly detailed, even showing the pilot figure of Amuro Ray surrounded by green light.
The “PERFECT GRADE UNLEASHED 1/60 v Gundam” is priced at 66,000 yen (approx. $428.70 USD / £343.50 GBP).
This impressive new kit is scheduled for release in January 2026.
