The next Gundam Ichiban Kuji includes two detailed GQuuuuuuX busts
BANDAI SPIRITS has officially announced the third installment of its popular “Ichiban Kuji” lottery based on “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX”.
The “Ichiban Kuji Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX vol.3” lottery will feature an array of collectible prizes, including two highly detailed busts of the protagonist’s mobile suit and a figure of the main character.
“Ichiban Kuji”, which translates to “Number One Lottery,” is a no-lose character lottery system operated by Bandai Spirits in Japan.
Participants purchase a ticket for a fixed price, typically from convenience stores, anime shops, and arcades, and are guaranteed to win a prize from a predetermined lineup.
The prizes are tiered by rarity, from the coveted A and B prizes to more common items like keychains and clear files.
The system also includes a “Last One Prize”, which is awarded to the person who purchases the very last ticket in the lottery.
This model drives engagement and encourages fans to try their luck to obtain exclusive, high-quality merchandise that is not sold in stores.
This third iteration of the “GQuuuuuuX” lottery will feature prizes based on the anime, which recently concluded its television broadcast.
“Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” is a unique entry in the long-running Gundam franchise, set in an alternate Universal Century timeline where the Principality of Zeon was victorious in the One Year War.
The series follows the protagonist, Amate Yuzuriha, a high school student who adopts the nickname “Machu” for her participation in illegal underground mobile suit duels known as “Clan Battles,” where she pilots the mysterious GQuuuuuuX mobile suit.
BANDAI SPIRITS has provided an advance look at the top prizes that will be available:
- A Prize & Last One Prize: BUSTISAN GQuuuuuuX Figures
The top-tier prizes are bust figures from the new BUSTISAN series, a BANDAI sub-brand that focuses on creating highly detailed, high-resolution busts of mobile suits.
The A Prize is a bust of the standard GQuuuuuuX mobile suit, while the Last One Prize is a bust of the powerful “GQuuuuuuX (Endymion Unit Awakened)” form, which appeared in the series’ climactic final episode.
The bust format allows the figures to have a level of detail that would be difficult to achieve in a full-body figure.
- B Prize: Amate Yuzuriha (Machu) Figure
This figure features the protagonist, Amate Yuzuriha, in her pilot suit.
It captures Machu posed with her arms outstretched, as if she were floating through space.
The “Ichiban Kuji Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX vol.3” lottery is scheduled for release in late November 2025 and will be available at various retailers in Japan, including select convenience stores and hobby goods stores, as well as official BANDAI Ichiban Kuji outlets.
Each entry will cost 800 yen (approx. $5.54 USD / £4.03 GBP).
