The cancelled One Piece McDonald’s Happy Meal promo cards are finally being released

A new distribution plan has been announced for the six promotional cards for the ONE PIECE Card Game that were originally scheduled to be given away in a McDonald’s “Happy Meal” promotion.
The collaboration was officially canceled by McDonald’s Japan in August as part of a “review of Happy Meal-related measures.”

The move came in the wake of the widespread chaos and scalping that had occurred during a similar Pokémon card giveaway earlier that month, an event that had forced the company to issue a public apology.

In a new announcement, the card game’s manufacturer, Bandai, has revealed two new methods by which fans can obtain these six sought-after cards.
The six promotional cards are split between two different, three-card packs, which are distributed at different types of events.

“Event Promo Pack A,” which contains the Tony Tony Chopper, Shanks, and Sabo cards, will be distributed at:
- Standard Battles
- Official Events
“Event Promo Pack B,” which contains the Nami, Portgas D. Ace, and Monkey D. Luffy cards, will be distributed at:
- Exchange Meetings
- Official Shop Exchange & Teaching Meetings
- Flagship Battles
- 8-Pack Battles
- Parent-Child Matching Battles
- Metalobby Weekend
The second method is through a gift-with-purchase campaign at official card game retail stores.
Customers who spend ¥1,500 or more on ONE PIECE Card Game booster packs will receive a “Promotion Card Set 2025.”

This single pack contains all six of the promotional cards together.
The six promotional cards that are part of this new distribution are:
- P-101 Tony Tony Chopper

- P-102 Nami

- P-103 Portgas D. Ace

- P-104 Shanks

- P-105 Sabo

- P-106 Monkey D. Luffy

Both of the new distribution campaigns are scheduled to begin on Friday, the 17th of October, and will run while supplies last.
A list of events can be found on the official One Piece Card Game website.
