The All-American “Gundam Maxter” headlines a wave of G Gundam Gunpla re-releases

A new wave of pre-orders has opened for several exclusive Gunpla model kits from the classic 1994 anime series, Mobile Fighter G Gundam.
The restock is headlined by a re-release of the popular “HG 1/144 Gundam Maxter.”

The Gundam Maxter is the Mobile Fighter that represents Neo America in the series’ Gundam Fight tournament, and is piloted by the energetic boxer, Chibodee Crocket.

This High Grade (HG) 1/144 scale model kit faithfully recreates the mobile fighter’s unique design, which is inspired by an American football player and a boxer, complete with massive shoulder pads and transforming “Fighting Knuckle” gauntlets.

In addition to the Gundam Maxter, pre-orders have also re-opened for another member of the Shuffle Alliance.

A restock of the “HG 1/144 Gundam Rose,” the mobile fighter for Neo France piloted by George de Sand, is also available.

Rounding out the wave of G Gundam releases is a brand-new, previously unannounced kit.
Pre-orders have also opened for the first time for the “HG 1/144 Mandala Gundam,” the unconventional mobile fighter from Neo Nepal.

This new kit features a unique design based on a Japanese temple bell and includes an original transformation gimmick, devised by the anime’s director, as well as eight “mini Mandala Gundam” figures.

As Premium Bandai exclusives, these kits are not available through general retail channels, making this re-release a new opportunity for collectors.
The “HG 1/144 Gundam Maxter” is priced at ¥2,915 (approx. $20 USD/£15 GBP) and is scheduled to ship in December 2025.
